KellerINK's Summer Reading Recommendations

Whether you have a jam-packed summer planned or are looking forward to a season of slowing down and recharging, there’s always time to pick up a new book that ignites fresh ideas and gives new perspectives. So while you’re on a plane heading to your next adventure, preparing to host a seminar and needing some inspiration, or simply lounging in the yard, try one of these KellerINK recommended reads.

ATMOSPHERE: A LOVE STORY by Taylor Jenkins Reid is a novel about Joan Goodwin, one of NASA’s first women scientists with the opportunity to become an astronaut. The story follows Joan and her fellow recruits as they vie for a coveted position on the shuttle. It is a story about what connects us, what makes us human, and how magnificent our universe is.

THE MONEY HABIT by Mike Michalowicz is a primer for how to structure your finances so you can achieve long-term freedom by taking small steps everyday. Fans of his earlier book, Profit First, will appreciate some familiar ideas — but this time directed at your lifestyle instead of simply maximizing your business.

THE CORRESPONDENT by Virginia Evans is a book written in letters, all to or from Sybil Van Antwerp, who uses correspondence to build connections and make sense of her world. Sybil writes to everyone from her sister-in-law to the dean of a college to author Larry McMurtry. The letters force her to examine difficult periods in her life, and ultimately lead to revelations both big and small.

EVERYTHING IS TUBERCULOSIS by John Green is a #1 New York Times bestselling book about the world’s deadliest disease and how it has been entwined with humanity for centuries. Green, a global healthcare reform advocate, tells the story of a tuberculosis patient he met and how the disease has shaped, quite literally, everything.

THINKING IN BETS by Annie Duke shows readers how to make decisions they can feel proud of in the midst of uncertainty. Duke is a former World Series of Poker champion, so she knows all about making bets, the odds of success, and relying on a little bit of luck. Shift your thinking from needing to know all the facts to assessing what you know and don’t know, and you’ll make better decisions every day.

THE MIDNIGHT TRAIN by Matt Haig is set to be released on May 26. This is Haig’s second book in the “Midnight” universe, following The Midnight Library which was published in 2020. Like its predecessor, the book will explore ideas of magic and time travel. The main character Wilbur can choose to relive—and potentially change—the most significant moments of his life.
